Tessera installs on a Windows machine on your own network and runs as a service. One installer, no dependencies, and your monitoring data never leaves your network.

Tessera is a new independent product and the installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen, and the User Account Control prompt may list the publisher as "Unknown". This is expected and does not mean anything is wrong. To continue, click "More info" and then "Run anyway". A code-signing certificate is on the way and will remove these prompts in an upcoming release.
System requirements
- Windows 64-bit: Windows 10 or 11, or Windows Server 2016 or later.
- About 300 MB of free disk space. Everything Tessera needs is bundled, so there is nothing else to install.
- A modern web browser to open the dashboard.
After you install
Run the installer, choose a port, and open the dashboard to create your admin account. The Getting Started guide walks you through your first monitored endpoint and email alerts in about ten minutes.
To continue past the free trial, paste your license key on the License page inside Tessera. Your key is in your purchase receipt email (check your spam folder) and in your Lemon Squeezy account.
Upgrading
To update an existing installation, download the latest installer and run it over the top. It stops the service, updates the files, backs up your data folder, and restarts, keeping your settings and history.
